Florence & The Machine - Dog Days Are Over

And So It Begins...

As we draw nearer and nearer to our proposed departure date (as indicated by the nifty countdown clock to your right) it is time to start hammering down a few specifics. As we have discussed, flights are still on the high side. We may well have to pay the current price, but I believe we have time to wait it out and see if they drop. My trip budget did include $1000 air fare so any saving we get here would mean more pints over there.

But we can start picking a hotel.

Beginning with this post I will begin adding hotels for us to review. These hotels all passed the initial inspection. There will be a poll each week where you will rank each place on 4 values. I will also post some links to the side which are very helpful for looking deeper at each property.

This inaugural matchup is between: The Hart House. This is smaller townhouse hotel, fairly typical budget hotel. Room rates are 110 to 150 GBP. (Not the link to the currency converter on the side) It's a relatively inexpensive place in London and includes a Queen bed and ensuite bathroom (no sharing).

And the Challenger: The Fielding. Rates are in the same area, little higher. This Hotel is in the Covent Garden neighborhood.
