Almost There....

We are down to our final 6 hotels. Each hotel with one exception will be something you have seen before. The match ups will based on similarity. Once we have reduced the hotels down to 3 option, I will call all of them, verify availability and determine the best rate. We will then have one final vote.

The final match ups are:

From the Pub Division: Mad Hatter vs Sanctuary

From the Eclectic London Favorites: The Fielding vs The Lord Milner.

From the Afford-ably Posh Division: Cranely vs Sumner.

Rather than do the polling, just comment on the article and if possible give a reason for preference. I will start it off.

  1. Here are my picks:

    Pub Division: Sanctuary.

This was a tough one, It's almost a coin flip for me as beyond the fact there's a pub downstairs the rooms in both are just OK. There's pubs everywhere in London and most of them close at 11:00pm. Having said that the pub looked more pubby at Mad Hatter but I like the rooms better at Sanctuary. Plus the Sanctuary was rated higher on Trip Advisor.

Eclectic London Favorites: I like the rooms better at the Lord Milner but some of the reviews troubled me. I am taking the Fielding for two reasons - one: its listed in the guidebooks and two: it's in Covent Garden so there will lots of bars, restaurants etc around.

Affordably Posh: I will pick the Sumner - better rankings and reviews and I liked it the minute I saw it.

  2. Drunk Spice: I'll pick Sanctuary just because of the name. Looking at websites for each, it appears they're owned by the same group and all their rooms are en suite and look nice enough to me. They're very similar, from the flower boxes on front to the beers on tap, I think. I like both of these best of the field, to be honest.

Weird Spice: I'll take the Fielding.

Posh Spice: I'll take the Sumner.

  4. This is my third try at commenting, so hopefully this one takes. It's looking pretty unanimous.

Pub Division: I prefer the Sanctuary. I think the rooms are nicer and I like the area better. I do prefer the pub at the Mad Hatter, but that said I don't think we will spend a lot of time in the hotel pub. Part of the fun of London is checking out a variety of pubs.

Eclectic London Favorites: I prefer the rooms at Lord Milner, but I will defer to Chris's fear regarding the Trip Advisor posts.

Affordably-Posh Division: I take the Sumner as well. I like the rooms and the location better.
